Mimblet privacy policy

Information on your device

The app stores only the favorites and preferences you explicitly choose, such as reading and sound-volume preferences. It does not create an infant profile or record reading sessions, sleep, feeding, developmental milestones, or other activity.

Preferences stay in the app's local storage. Device-level backup services may include app storage according to your operating-system settings. Mimblet does not operate a backup service.

The app does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, location, or photo library. It does not record audio. Playback uses bundled sound files and starts only when you press Play. Sound can continue while you read or switch activities inside Mimblet; it pauses when the app becomes inactive, when you press Pause, or when the stop timer expires. Returning to the app does not automatically resume playback.

No information sent to us by the app

Mimblet has no server and does not transmit information to its developer. Runtime updates are disabled; new content arrives only with a new app version through your app store. Android release builds exclude internet and microphone permissions.

Apple and Google independently process app purchases and may collect store or operating-system diagnostics under their own policies. Those services are not an in-app tracking system operated by Mimblet.

Removing local preferences

You can remove individual favorites and change preferences inside the app. Uninstalling removes app-managed local preferences, subject to your device's backup and restore behavior. An operating-system backup may restore those preferences on reinstall; manage device backups through your operating-system settings.

Children and caregivers

Mimblet is operated by adults during short, shared moments. It does not collect information from children. Put the device away when your infant turns away or needs a break. Read-aloud and finger-play activities can be enjoyed without showing the screen. Sounds should be quiet, and the device should stay out of your baby's reach and sleep space. The app is not a medical device or a developmental assessment.

This website

Browsing this website requires an internet connection; it is separate from the offline app. This public website is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub receives web requests and may collect technical information, including IP addresses, under its own privacy statement. This site adds no analytics, advertising, tracking scripts, cookies, external font services, or submission forms.
